About Deb Salay

Deb Salay ABOUT DEB I first picked up a camera when I was about 10 years old. When I reached high school my Dad gave me a really cool 35mm camera that he had brought back from Germany when he was in the service. Needless to say I was hooked and I have never looked back. After high school I went on to college and achieved degrees in both psychology and supervision. I also became certified in photography through the New York Institute of Photography. It was before the era of online classes so it was quite the adventure to say the least. I am also currently being mentored by Serge Ramelli and thoroughly enjoying the journey. Along my journey I also went to culinary school where I graduated with honors and I had a new love...preparing fine cuisine. I now have the luxury of combining my passion for the culinary arts with my love of photography. I have moved on from my first camera to bigger and better but I will always carry the memory of my very first 35mm camera and the joy it brought me in those days. Today I love capturing the beauty all around us and especially in the food we grow, raise, prepare and eat. I am capturing our beautiful world one shutter click at a time! I hope you enjoy browsing through my gallery and consider adding some of my vision to your home or office ! ENJOY !!
